This is what’s next.

Most people find that as God works in their life, they experience a desire to develop deeper relationships and gives something back. The good news is that there are plenty of ways to do this that you already enjoy, and we can help match your talents with needs in the church.

Whether you have just a few hours a month or all the time in the world, specialized skills or a heart for people, there is a place for you. We are excited to get you involved!

What is SWAT?

SWAT (Setup Worship And Tear-down) is a team of volunteers that set up and tear down everything necessary for our worship services. There are four SWAT teams…each volunteering one weekend each month. These teams make an invaluable contribution through their service and dedication.

What is the time Commitment?

Each team sets up on Saturday (8:30-10:30am) and tears down on Sunday (12pm-1pm) for their assigned weekend.

What is expected of me?

Come to the Saturday set up and Sunday tear down on the week your team is assigned and we’ll help you get started. If for some reason you can’t make it, contact your team leader to let him know.

Is it hard?

Definitely not! You don’t have to be technically skilled or muscle bound to help. There are all kinds of jobs…from setting up the children’s area to putting out Blue Bibles in the seats. Any and all help is welcomed!

How can I help?

If you’d like to volunteer for SWAT, simply fill out the form below. We look forward to you being a part of the team!

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Guest Services

Guest volunteers make people feel at home at the Crossroads. A smile, a handshake, some directions and a drink go a long way, and are a simple way to reach out to people.

Campus Support

Believe it or not, we set this up and tear it down every week. It doesn’t take special skills, but it does take a number of people who help out for a few hours on the weekend, usually once per month. The SWAT team is the biggest part of this ministry – see below for more details.

Students

Our youth benefit tremendously from adult role models who will spend time at their activities and invest in their spiritual development. This is way more help than buying another magazine subscription you don’t want.

Children

Our kids classes give people a chance to be a part of teaching the next generation. Materials are provided, and the relationships formed will far outlast the few hours spent in this important role.

Outreach

The Crossroads desires to show the love of Christ to our community and the world. You can be an integral part of planning and organizing our efforts, both local and beyond.

Arts

Every Sunday we express our worship to God through playing, singing, and creating visual support for the worship experience. The music programs for both adults and youth are driven through volunteers, and this is an excellent place to use your talents.

Office Support

Our offices are open Monday – Thursday, and it is extremely helpful to have support in all of the little things that go into making an office run smooth. If you can use a phone and a computer, you’re in.

Technical & Skilled

It’s a more complex world than ever, so to reach people with the means they’re accustomed to, we need to be well versed in modern communication and audio/visual presentation and technology. If this is your thing, we need to talk.

Koina Cafe

The coffee shop can always use a volunteer barista or general cleaning and maintenance help. It’s like having the inside track at Starbucks, and everyone wants that.
