Tent City Medical Needs

Following the earthquake in January 2010, many people were displaced from their homes and have since been residing in tent cities. Within 200 yards of the orphanage is a tent city where about 150 people live. Following the visit by a short-term mission team from a church in Atlanta, we have been able to meet medical needs of the people in tent city. The funds left by that team ran out in May, but the needs continue. With $200 per month for the next year we can provide the residents to get basic health care: doctor visits, lab work, and prescriptions.  Most of these people in the tent city are unemployed, and have no access to any type of health care services without some ministry intervention. GOAL: $2,400

$200 per month for one-year to cover the medical costs of people in a tent city near the orphanage & school.

($5,000 matching gift has been pledged)
