On January 23 – 29 we are having a week of collective prayer to draw near to God as we begin this new year. James 4:8 promises as we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. Some may feel the prompting to fast – be it food, coffee, TV or even Facebook. If it will help you bring your focus on God, consider it.
Below is prayer guide you can use to pray this week. Let’s unify our prayers around a particular focus for that day and agree together for God to change our hearts and for many to experience a breakthrough in their lives.
Monday: Let’s believe God for a revival and breakthrough in own lives and that our passion for Christ will increase. Pray that His desires become our desires. Confess any sin and renew commitments as needed. Lamentations 3:22-23, I John 1:9, James 4: 4-10 EXTRA: Ask God if there is something He’d like you to give up this week so you can focus more on him.
Tuesday: Pray for The Crossroads ministry efforts to have maximum impact, as led by the Holy Spirit in 2011. Direct prayer focus in Family & Student Ministries / Outreach / Worship & Teaching / Groups / Men & Women Ephesians 4:1-3, 20-31
EXTRA: Pray also for the people, staff, pastors & ministries of The Crossroads
Wednesday: Our family, loved ones and neighbors. Pray that we will allow God’s plan to be accomplish in our lives and we will
be a light to those we impact daily. Isaiah 29:14-23, Phil. 4:6-7 EXTRA: Go for a walk and pray for the salvation and needs of your neighbors.

Thursday: Be Still in God’s presence. Instead of asking for things today – take time to listen.Psalm 46:10, Isaiah 40:12-31 EXTRA: Listen to your favorite worship song and sing it loud, proud and from your heart.
Friday: Lift in prayer our city, state, nation & world … and it’s leaders. Pick an area of the world, as you feel led, to pray that God use people to spread His word & life. Pray for Manta, Equador that the churches, pastors, and people to experience great favor from God as they teach, train and build God’s Kingdom there. 2 Chronicles 7:14, Romans 13
EXTRA: Pray that The Crossroads will a premiere disciple making church in the Northwest Valley and whose influence will impact our community, state, nation, and world.
Saturday: Pray, as Jesus prayed, for the body of Christ world-wide, that we would become one in Him. Also, Pray for persecuted believers around the world. John 17 EXTRA: Ask God for His kingdom to come and will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
Sunday: Spend time giving thanks and worshipping God for who He is. I Chronicles 29:11, Psalm 46:1, 2 Kings 19:15, John 4:42, Philippians 2:11, John 14:16-17 EXTRA: Tell someone today how much they mean to you and what, specifically, they add to your life.
